In this study, the authors characterized canine, adipose tissue-derived micrografts, obtained using the Rigenera® technology with the goal of developing a less invasive approach to slow down the development of osteoarthrosis (OA) in dogs. The CytoSMART counter was used to count adipose stem cells (ASCs). This study highlights the advantages of this innovative, mechanically-obtained-micrografts approach and demonstrates that this particular technology has a potential to be used to restore functionality in dogs with severe OA.
