The authors of this study aimed to characterize CAE606 cells derived from a squamous cell carcinoma (SCC) of the external auditory canal (EAC) and to demonstrate the suitability of this cell model for testing candidate therapeutic agents. The CytoSMART Omni was used to evaluate CAE606 cell migration in a standard wound-healing assay following treatment with cell cycle inhibitor, palbociclib. All in all, this study demonstrates the value of CAE606 cell line in investigating new therapeutics targeting cell cycle control pathways.
